In semiconductor lighting devices, high-power and high-brightness LED lamps are usually used, which have the advantages of low power consumption and longera life-span. However, the current photoelectric conversion efficiency is low, and a large proportion is converted into heat energy, so the power density on the LED chip is large. Generally speaking, the higher the power density, the higher the heat dissipation required for the lamps and LED heat sinks. Therefore, the heat sinks heat dissipation problem of LED lamps/LED light heat sink has become a major problem that affecting the development of its industrialization.
Normally, there are below methods for LED light heat sink:
1. Use heat-conducting metal or heat-dissipating fins to attach and dissipate heat to the LED package.
2. The built-in cooling fan of the LED luminaire is forced to dissipate heat.
3. Flow-through heat dissipation of liquid cooling heatsinks is provided in the package.
4. The combination of the heat pipe in the package can absorb or dissipate heat energy by utilizing the phase change of the working medium in the heat pipe.
